How to book

Tickets for bookable events will be released at 10am 23rd August

All of our events are free to attend. For the majority of open buildings you will be able to turn up on the day and walk in. For some buildings you are only able to gain access if you are booked onto a tour. The same goes for our walks and events, some of which you can just turn up for, and others for which you have to book in advance. Check individual listings in our brochure, or on the national Doors Open Days website to find out whether you need to book.

The majority of ticketed events are booked via eventbrite. If a listing in our brochure says ‘booking essential:‘ the event can be booked through eventbrite. You can go straight to our eventbrite profile to see a list of ticketed events, which will become available to book from 10am 23rd August. These are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and often sell out quickly. Please note, the number of tickets available to book per person is limited to allow as many different people to attend as possible.

For some events, bookings are taken directly by our participant organisers themselves. For these events, information on how to book is detailed in the brochure and on the Doors Open Days website, and varies from one event to another. You can also view this page for a full list of events that require pre-booking through different methods, and which aren’t listed on eventbrite.
